If you think you’re not flexible enough to do yoga, haven’t practiced for a while, or want to go over the alignment in the poses, then this course is for you!
In this session you will be introduced to the Iyengar method of yoga practice; its fundamentals of postures and breath. We will work on standing, seated, twists and supine poses as we learn how the proper use of limbs can help with body stability, flexibility and strength.

Reduce stress, tension and dis-ease.
You will learn the importance of building a solid foundation and key principles that create optimal alignment and health. We will also introduce conscious breathing practices to use as a stand-alone de-stress tool, and the breath to use during the movements in yoga, as well as relaxation techniques and practices. Hands on assistance and modifications will be offered to further familiarize the body and mind with alignment principles and movements, and to maximize safe and informed range of motion.
